ORGANISING REGULAR SOCIAL EVENINGS AND LOCAL EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE AREAS COVERED BY OUR BRANCHES AND BEYOND
Enjoy new activities with new people when you join S.P.A. Singles Social Group. Make new friends at the regular Social Evenings held by your local Branch and at a diverse choice of other events and activities arranged by members themselves. Our member-led group is committed to providing a programme of social events to bring our members together in a friendly and welcoming environment. Get in touch today to discover more.
Make sure our regular social evenings are in your diary if you want to find new friends. These evenings provide a routine chance to catch up with others and plan new events, where you can relax and mix with like-minded friends. If you are unable to attend due to work or family commitments, you can keep up to date through MeetUp, ensuring that nobody misses out on events and activities.
Many of our most popular activities involve eating! For instance, our Exeter branch is currently trying a different country’s culinary delights at each occasion, in an attempt to circumnavigate the world of food. Whether it’s a meal ahead of our social evening, a weekday lunch meetup for those without work commitments, or an evening meal at our favourite restaurant, our members love to eat.
Our members also enjoy taking in the sights of our beautiful countryside. With members choosing and hosting these walks, you can set your own limits – choose between coast-paths, moorlands, and city explorations; keeping it flat or adding in some cheeky ascents; half-days or long days. One thing’s for sure, our guided walks usually include food and drink, from picnics to a detour to the local pub.
MUSIC AND DANCE
Music plays a big part in our events calendar, with many of our branches regularly hosting events with local bands, tribute acts or renowned artists, which are very popular with our members. And with music comes dancing, our members are never slow to take to the dance floor. If you have always wanted to learn jive or ballroom dancing then you may be able to take up this opportunity with your local branch.
With members suggesting new ideas and destinations, the possibilities for days out with S.P.A. Singles Social Group are endless. Our previous trips have included:
- Local Towns and Cities
- National Trust Properties
- Open Gardens
- Sporting Events (including our local rugby derby)
- Christmas Markets
We also provide the opportunity for members to travel more extensively, including weekends away, mini-breaks, and longer holidays where members feel inclined.
